Lee Myers
February 05, 2022
Lee Wade Myers Jr, 62. Born on December 8, 1959. Passed away on February 5, 2022. Lee grew up on the Southside of Des Moines, next door to a girl who would become his wife.
Lee never left the area he grew up in. He decided to raise his children in the same neighborhood. Lee was a proud member of USW Local 310L. He enjoyed hunting, finding mushrooms, fishing, motorcycles, bowling, playing cards, his dog (Paws), and spending time with his family and friends. You could usually expect him to be on the river, or in the timber. He was at home in the outdoors, and loved nature. Lee will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Darlene, his son Brian (Stefanie) their children Evan, Kaleb, Annabella, Colton, Elizabeth, and Isabelle. His Daughter Sarah (Eric) their children Jordan, Romeo, and a third child expected in April. His brother Ronnie (Karen), his sister Connie (Joe), and many nieces and nephews.
Lee has always said he did not want to have a traditional funeral, instead there will be a celebration of life held in his honor. We invite all of Lee’s loved ones, family and friends to join us in celebrating his life at, USW Local 310L's Union Hall. Located at 125 NW Broadway, Des Moines, IA 50313 on February 19th from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
