Russell L. Clifford

Russell L. Clifford, 90, passed away February 3, 2022 at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System.

Russell was born December 10, 1931 in Des Moines to Russell and Ione (Ankle) Clifford. He served in the United States Army. Russell retired in 1995 from Monarch Cement Co. where he had been an electrician for many years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Russell enjoyed camping, fishing and watching television. He liked electronics and repaired many televisions over the years.

Russell is survived by his son, Richard (Mary) Clifford; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patty; and his children, Teddy and Tammy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1503 SE 6th Street. Russell will be laid to rest with military honors at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
