Kelci Weiss, 29, passed away on January 31, 2022, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born in Des Moines, on April 1, 1992, to Royce Copic and Kelly Jo Schaffer.

Kelci graduated from Southeast Polk High School. She met the love of her life, Zach when she was a freshman and he was a sophomore and they spent 15 years together. Her daughter Ashlynn was born in 2011 and was the light of her life.

Kelci was a loving mother and wife. She had the cutest dimples and cared more about others then herself. One of her favorite things was cooking, watching cooking shows and making homemade chicken and noodles with her daddy. Kelci was a tough nut, as stubborn as they come, smart as a whip, and loved her rock and roll. She enjoyed babysitting, singing in the choir in high school, and loved children as well as her beloved cats. Kelci idolized her uncle Brian and Aunt Sherry, and adored her niece and nephew, Trinity and Brandon. Kelci treasured time spent with her mom and dad and dearly missed her great-grandma and great-grandpa.

Kelci is survived by her husband, Zach; daughter, Ashlynn; dad, Royce Copic; step-mom, Vicky Lattimer; grandma, Donna Copic; mom, Kelly Schaffer….and tons of cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona.
