Sharon Ann Weiss, 80, passed away at her home on January 31, 2022. She will be laid to rest at Harpers Cemetery in Redfield, IA. No services will be held.
Sharon was born on April 16, 1941 in Corwith, IA to Mary (Steil) and George Brazee. She graduated from Goldfield High School and married Donald Weiss. Sharon worked for Payless Cashways and Hobby Lobby. Sharon and Don also managed the Stuckey Store at Waukee. Sharon was a volunteer at Spurgeon Manor which she truly enjoyed.
Sharon liked to read and go out for hot chocolate with her friends. She loved spending time with her family or talking to them on the phone. Her family was everything to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Sally Wacht of Dallas Center and Sandra Jorgensen (Tony) of Earlham; five grandchildren, Katie (Josh) Brown, Jeff Wacht, Jason Wacht, Kelly (Seth) Thompson, and Patrick Poston; and three great-grandchildren, Zeke, Olivia, and Rowan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, daughter Robin, her sisters, Margaret, Marilyn, her twin Shirley, her brother Ray, and granddaughter Amy.

Sharon was a dear, sweet friend. I worked with her at Spurgeon Manor. She had such a caring, compassionate heart. I remember fondly helping Sharon bake cookies for the residents and helping her with spa day for the residents. I will miss her dearly.

Sharon will be missed, especially at Spurgeon Manor. Sharon always had a smile. I will miss seeing her there and at Tuesday morning coffee. Prayers for your family.
