Franklin Meyer
January 28, 2022
Frank Meyer, loving son and brother and best friend to many, passed away January 28 following a lengthy fight against COVID.
Born June 30, 1974, Frank lived his entire life in the Des Moines area. Blessed with a strong body he developed through years of weight-lifting, Frank spent most of his working years in strenuous jobs. He had experience as a roofer, concrete finisher, machinist and bouncer. When not working, he enjoyed watching football, auto racing and science fiction TV.
Frank’s most endearing quality was his commitment to family. He served as protector to his older sister and his cousins, and took care of his mother following the death of his step-father, Walt Wilkinson, in 2013.
Frank is survived by his mother, Carla Wilkinson, of Ankeny, and his sister, Teri Palmer, of Des Moines. His surviving relatives also include many extended family members.
A celebration of life service will be held sometime this spring.
