Marva Elaine Collingwood Davis Wilson, age 101, of Des Moines died Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Marva was born to Roy and Emily Collingwood in Williamsburg, Iowa on August 27, 1920, the 5th of 9 children. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
On May 14, 1938 she was united in marriage to Virgil Davis to which 3 children were born; Jeanette (Gary) Hoke, Wayne Davis and Karen Dirks. Marva and Virgil worked together to raise their 3 children, build Des Moines Sewing Machine Company, to which Marva added and ran the Fabrics section, and achieve Diamond Direct level in Amway. Marva and Virgil were active in their church and enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping with their family. After losing Virgil in 1973, Marva continued the Amway business, traveled independently and enjoyed many hobbies which included fishing and camping. On March 12, 1988 she married Dale Wilson.

She is survived by her children, brother , Hawley Collingwood; sister-in law, Bernice Collingwood; grandchildren, Mark (Jolene) Radke, Diane (Dean) Zegland, Sherry (Bryan) Herold, Linda Jefferies, Jim (Theresa) Hoke, Robert Hoke, Nancy (Max) Justicz and Jeff Davis; great grandchildren Brianna (Andy) Maciej), Jordyn (Kelly Waddell) Radke, Chloe (Nolan Kern) Jefferies, Kyle Radke, Alexnder Justiez, James Justiez, Hannah Justiez and Martha Leigh Hoke; 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands; brothers Sylvan Collingwood, Gerald Collingwood, and Milford Collingwood; sisters Velma Hoffmaster, Gladys Kempfert, Doris Von Ahsen and Dorothy Rusbult; daughter-in-law Kathy Davis and grandchildren Laurie Davis and John Jefferies.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
