Timothy Lee Leitzinger, 60, died Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born July 4, 1961 to William and Joyce Leitzinger in Des Moines.
Timothy was a free spirit and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He worked construction and at the Salvation Army for many years.
Timothy is survived by his son, Josh Leitzinger; granddaughters, Kaeli, Lexy and Lainey Leitzinger, grandson, Kadin Stutzman; siblings, Bob Leitzinger (Rita) and Susan Riley (Jack); many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Sue Leitzinger; father, William Leitzinger; and his mother, Joyce (James) Tharp.

My Tim was a good man. My name is Sue L Rogers. I am his step
Mom. I married his father Bill Leitzinger. Tim lived with us quite awhile. He had a job & I or Bill would cook for a good supper.
After we were divorced,,Tim left. I didn't see him for quite awhile
He lives wit Bill after he hot a house.
Years later I moved downtown Des Moines to a new appartment. Not long he found me . We struck up a deal. I needed a home care person to do most of the house cleaning & etc. It worked out great. He was a great cook, cleaning house & my good friend Susan Jane
He became her home care person. He was doing real good & money he had to spend on anything he wanted. Rent was free & he had 2 very happy women.
Oh Tim you have lived a good & bad stressful life. You was married to a lovely gal Bonnie . 2 kids . But in life there are always some rain days & honey you had them. I will miss you terribly . Your sweet attitude, helpful ways, becoming a good cook,care taker & just being yourself. I love you honey. God in Heaven has accepted you where life will be your peaceful place to live. Your pain is gone & vices put to rest.
