William F. Pavlica, Sr.

William (Bill) Francis Pavlica, Sr. passed away on Jan 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. The son of Francis and Jennis Pavlica, he was born in Sergeantsville, New Jersey, on Dec 6, 1947.

Bill and his family relocated to Des Moines in 1972 where he and his wife successfully owned and operated Auto Body by B&T. He went on to work at R.R. Donnelly and eventually retired to settle into his dream of owning and operating a small family farm.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Terri Pavlica, their children, Bill Pavlica Jr. and Jena Thornton, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his father Frank Pavlica, his mother Jennis Pavlica and his sister Eleanor Buse.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Fri, Feb. 11, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thu, Feb. 10, 2022 from 6-8 p.m.
