Judith K. Knight

Judith K. Knight (Judy) was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 78, while surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born on June 28, 1943 to Orville F. Miller and Lois H. Miller (Barr) and grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. Judy graduated from East High School in 1962. She worked at the former Look Magazine before she met and married her beloved husband William (Bill) Knight in 1968 and started raising her family. In addition, Judy worked for over 20 years at Valley View Village and other Des Moines area retirement homes before retiring in 2008. Judy loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and attended Altoona Regular Baptist Church in Altoona, Iowa. Judy loved anything related to home decorating, gardening, drawing and painting, but most of all, she loved her family and was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grand-child.

Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, William L. Knight, daughters Marlisa (Monty) Lovell, Sherry Knight, Debbie (Gabe) Korte, and Shelly (Paul) Wilson and son Eric (Michelle) Knight. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Matthew Lovell, Justin Lovell, Ryan Davis and Delaney Wilson and one great grandson, Oliver Lovell. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Orville F. Miller and Lois H. Miller.

The family would like to thank the staff at MercyOne Johnston Hospice Care for their kindness, compassion, and expert care during Judy’s final hours.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
