Todd Bogenrief

Todd Harvey Bogenrief, 57, of Ankeny, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Unity Point Hospital in Des Moines.

Todd was born July 4, 1964, in Des Moines, Iowa, to George and the late Jackie Bogenrief. Todd attended school in West Des Moines, graduating from Valley High School and attended the University of Iowa pursuing an accounting degree. Todd left college to work for a friend in the IT industry and never looked back. Todd spent 30 years in the IT industry, working for Pomeroy and IBM, until his retirement to care for his first wife until her death. Most recently, he was employed at Kohl’s.

Todd married Sheril Harper on October 14, 2017. Both he, and Sheril had lost their spouses after long term marriages. They were lucky enough to find each other and cared deeply for each other. Todd enjoyed spending time outside when the weather permitted with Sheril and caring for their pets.
Todd was preceded in death by his mother Jackie (Ziegler) Bogenrief and his first wife Jocelyn Bogenrief.

Todd is survived by his wife, Sheril, his father George Bogenrief of Camdenton, MO, sister Kim (Dan McDowell) of Sahuarita, NM; Sheril’s daughters Megan Harper (Tiffin, IA) and Monica (Michael) Oatman (Boone, IA), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
