Frances Carlsten

Frances K. Carlsten passed away February 4, 2007 at the Brookdale Ramsey Village. She was born July 14, 1923 in Des Moines and lived in the Des Moines area for all of her life.
Frances graduated from Drake University with a Masters Degree in Piano Performance where she studied under Professor Paul Stoye. She taught piano at the Community School of Music at Drake University. She was also a member of Mu Phi Epsilon. Frances was a gifted artist, and a creative and cultured person.
Frances was devoted to her husband and son, both of whom suffer from chronic neurological diseases.
Frances is survived by her husband, John Carlsten; son, Eric Carlsten and daughter, Christine Danoff.
A musical memorial service will be held at a later date.
