Vincent E. Sullivan

Vincent Eugene Sullivan, 73, of Des Moines, IA, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

He was born in Carrollton, MO to Vincent Joseph Sullivan and Mary Lou (Wille) Sullivan on February 8, 1948. He graduated from Carrollton High School and attended Central Missouri State College. He married Sheila Hughes on October 3, 1992 in Des Moines where they made their home. He retired from Rochester Armored Car Co in 2017. Vince enjoyed collecting and shooting firearms, surfing the Web, reading, nature and photography.

Vince was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Joseph Sullivan and an infant sister as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Vince is survived by his wife, Sheila Sullivan of Des Moines, IA; mother, Mary Lou Sullivan; sisters, Mary Glorioso (David) of Fayetteville, NC, Cathy Sullivan of Leavenworth, KS, Peggy Sullivan of Independence, MO; brother, Tim Sullivan (Patrice) of Fresno, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens after the service.
