Phyllis Darlene Prall

Phyllis Prall, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born in November 21, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa to Norma Jean Hartzer.

Living in the SE Polk area her entire life, Phyllis loved being a stay at home mom and spending time with her family. She enjoyed cake decorating and loved to bake desserts. In 1999 she was employed for the State of Iowa, working in the Transcription Section of the Division of Criminal Investigation, until her retirement in Sept. of 2009. She was a member of Altoona Regular Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, played her flute and enjoyed serving the Lord. She also volunteered her time at the Altoona Rehab Center.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dan Prall; her children, Jason (Hilary) Prall, Stacie Prall, Douglas (Carolyn) Prall; her mother, Norma Jean (Jim) Hartzer; and three sisters, Karen Annis, Kathy Renteria and Karol Skeffington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phyllis' wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Altoona Regular Baptist Church., 803 3rd Avenue SW, Altoona.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon's Fund for those in need at the Altoona Regular Baptist Church in loving memory of Phyllis.
