Cynthia "Cindy" Tidball

Cynthia “Cindy” Tidball, 72, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022. She was born in Des Moines on July 26, 1949, the daughter of Bob and Betty Dotts.
Cindy was a 1968 graduate of East High School. She was united in marriage to Samuel “Duke” Tidball on March 26, 1968, at Fort Hood, TX where Duke was stationed in the Army.
Cindy took pride in caring for the couple’s home and raising their four children. Later in life, she worked as a file clerk for various insurance companies.
Cindy enjoyed gardening, reading, and going on vacation cruises in her retirement years with Duke. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Duke; four children: Michelle (Dylan) Hess, Lori (Scott) Oakley, Rebecca Tidball, and Samantha (Troy) See; grandchildren: Valerie, Samuel, Adyn, Chloe, Betsy, Summer, and Seth; one great-granddaughter, Sophie; her brothers, Mike (Marlene) Dotts and Dean (Cheryl) Dotts, as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Betty Dotts.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona, with burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Monday evening from 5-7 p.m.
