Margaret Inez Hoffmann
January 10, 2022
Margaret Inez Hoffmann, 91, passed away January 10, 2022 surrounded by her children. Services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, 1240 66th St. in Windsor Heights, IA with visitation one hour prior.
Margaret was born March 11, 1930 in Lima Center, WI to Harriett (Minard) and Fredrick Wagner, the youngest of 11 children. After graduating from high school, Margaret moved to Alexandria, VA and worked at the Red Cross-National Headquarters. She then moved to Des Moines and worked at Meredith Publishing doing research for the new line of decorating publications.
She met Dr. Robert Hoffmann in November of 1956 and they were married in January of 1957. To quote Margaret, “to most it may seem that I led an ordinary life, but for me, in many unexpected ways, it turned out to be an extraordinary one.” Margaret’s proudest accomplishment was her children and family. They fulfilled all of her dreams of having a family to love and felt truly blessed by them and the incredible special gift that they were to her.
Margaret is survived by children, Michael, Matthew and Jon Hoffmann and Laura Fulps; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Windsor Heights Lutheran Church and condolences expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Our prayers for the family. I use to work with Dr. Hoffmann at ILH in the good old days. Meeting Margaret when invited to swim at the house. What a wonderful family.

Margaret was a wonderful lady and I enjoyed knowing her and Laura at Drake and later on. Pottery classes were always interesting. Dr. Bob and Margaret were there for Drake Art. My condolences to her family.
