Service Details

Caliana Cynthia Corona was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 12, 2005. She left our world at the age of 16 on January 10, 2022. Caliana, often called Cali, lived life to the fullest. She had a goofy sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and a beautiful wild spirit. She had aspirations of becoming a tattoo artist and was looking forward to doing an apprenticeship in that field. She was a hard worker and would have excelled at whatever she put her mind to. For fun, she dove into music, hung out with her siblings, embraced new makeup and hair styles, and loved her new freedom of driving a car. She also enjoyed movie nights and traveling with her family.

Cali is survived by her mother, Jessica (Josh) Wells; father, Frank (Alicia Quinn) Corona; siblings, Frankie Jr. Corona, Cassius Corona, and Lela Wells; maternal grandfather, Douglas (Carol) Harvey; paternal grandmother, Cindy (Nick Rosa) Padilla; paternal grandfather, Jose Corona; uncles, Michael (Laura) Harvey, Marshall Harvey, Octavio (Martha) Corona; aunts, Elysha (Kevin) Elson, Linda Harvey, Crystal (Ernesto Jimenez) Corona, and Jeanette Corona; special cousin, Julian Jimenez; step-brothers, Kai Wells, King Wells, and Tre Wells; and several other cousins, family, and friends. She was also a godmother to Esmeralda Guerrero.

When you think of Cali, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Share the stories of her with love and laughter.

A viewing ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 5 to 7pm at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa.
