Carl Field

Carl Rex Field, age 85, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Sarasota, Florida. He was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and Uncle Sonny to many.
Carl was born November 17, 1936. He was a racing fan and loved all sports Tampa Bay related. Carl was the founder and president of Duz-Mor Incorporated. He began losing his sight in 2005 due to macular degeneration. Carl was a class peer facilitator at Lighthouse of Manasota, support group leader for Sunnyside Low Vision Group, and became president of the Florida Council of the Blind Sarasota Chapter.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sylvia Field; children, Vicky Seals (Rich), David Field (Jo), and Sheri Field; daughter-in-law, Kelly Field; step-sons, Tim Culp (Stephanie) and Lee Culp (Lida); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Louise Field; sister, Dixie; son, Richard Field; grandsons, Little Ricky Field and Richie Seals; and granddaughter, Kylee Simpson.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines beginning at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery at a later date.

Sonny was a great man! I have always cherished the time That I worked for him at Freeway Frame Service. I really had a great time there even got into a little mischief and I loved that job and that man! RIP MY FRIEND
