Patrick Michael Steinbach

Patrick “Pat” Steinbach, 65, passed away on January 11, 2022, due to complications of rheumatoid arthritis and a stroke, with loved ones by his side. He was born in Des Moines on September 29, 1956, the son of James and Helen (Yarkosky) Steinbach.
After graduating from Dowling High School in 1974 he went on to receive associate degrees from DMACC. On October 8, 1988, he was united in marriage to Lori Cooney at All Saints Catholic Church. They went on to raise two sons, Bradley and Matthew.
He retired in 2016 from PDI as a warehouse supervisor.
His devotion to the Catholic faith was demonstrated through his dedication to family, friends, and his community. Pat was a lifelong member of All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines. Pat was always willing to give of his time and never failed to put others first.
Pat took great pride in his family, especially his two sons. He loved attending his sons’ sporting events, especially Little League baseball and wrestling. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his loved ones.
Pat is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lori Steinbach; son, Brad (Kaytlin Moeller) Steinbach; sister, Susan (Don) Johannsen; brother, Jim (Robbie) Steinbach; niece, Molly Steinbach, as well as other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Steinbach; parents, Jim and Helen Steinbach; and brother, Robert Steinbach.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Monday, January 17, at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave., with burial at Glendale Cemetery on Tuesday, January 18 at 10 AM. Masks and social distancing will be required at visitation and service.

I remember Pat so well and his dedication and devotion to his mother when she lived at Bishop Drumm. He was always so kind and nice to visit with. My deepest condolences to all his loved ones.
