Harold Kinney, Jr.

Harold George Kinney Jr., passed away January 6, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, with visitation one hour prior.

Harold was born on October 22, 1939 to Eleanor Ann Kinney and Harold George Kinney Sr. in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a proud Navy Veteran. Harold liked new adventures. If he wasn’t working, he was either hunting, fishing, flying ultralight aircraft, or trying to find something to do outdoors. He had a knack for fixing cars as he was a mechanic in the military. One of the most cherished memories of him is his love for antique cars.

Harold is survived by his children, Cindy Kinney and Monica Kinney; granddaughter, Druid Kinney; and siblings, Marlene Dunn, Barten (Dianne) Kinney, and Sage Johnson.

Harold was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor and his brother-in-law Carl Dunn.
