Sam Lovan

Sam Lovan, 63, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on May 5, 1958 to the late Puk Thong and Ing Lo in Vientiane, Laos. He migrated to the United States in 1980.

Sam is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Des Moines. Together they have three children: Anousone, Manoluck, and Johnny (Lexi) of Des Moines and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Seuang Van Lo, Bong Van Lo, Dia Thi Lo and Loy Lo Van, along with a host of other family and beloved friends.

Sam retired from Ryko Solutions in 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50313.
