Dennis Waddill

Dennis Doyle Waddill, 83, was born December 31, 1937, in Des Moines, the son of Clarence and Lorraine (Doyle) Waddill.

He passed away peacefully Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Edencrest at the Legacy.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Maryel Waddill; son, Dennis Waddill II and his mother, Shirley Waddill; step-daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Kreider; step-son, Sean Bolton; step-grandchildren, Zach and Alli Kreider; brother, Kenneth (Ivetta) Waddill; nephew, Barry Waddill; niece, Mindy Langford; other loving relatives and many special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Amy Waddill.

Dennis was an active 50-year member of the Masons. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and occasionally golfing. Dennis played a mean game of cribbage, dominoes, and many other card games. He became an avid fan of watching Red Green and Monty Python. Dennis also loved traveling and saw much of the United States throughout his adventures.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Friday, January 7, 2022, at Masonic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Midwest in loving memory of Dennis.
