Morris Muntz

Morris Gene Muntz, 93, died Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 8, 1928 to Byron and Clara Muntz in Bonaparte, Iowa.

Morris grew up in Bonaparte, Iowa and served in the Army during the Korean War where he received the bronze star and the Purple Heart. He worked on railroad bridges for most of his career, owning his own bridge repair company for many years and inspecting bridges throughout.

He enjoyed going to the races and spending time with his many friends and family. There was no distance he wouldn't drive to accomplish this. He greatly enjoyed his time spent with the family dog and many would say he was an animal lover.

Morris is survived by his long-time companion, Carole Frick; daughter, Theresa Marlene Henricksen; grandchildren, Deana Sanders (Frank), Donald Henricksen, and Leala Widner (Mike); four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Muntz; and sister, Bev Muntz.

A graveside service will be held later this spring at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
