Candace Rene Bennett, age 37, passed away on December 22, 2021.

Candace was born on June 12, 1984, in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from East High School in 2002. She worked in the healthcare field as a caregiver for people with disabilities or special needs. She was also a homemaker, caring for her family above all else.

Candace loved to spend time with her family (even if she was always late), McDonald's Coffee, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs. She was a lot like her Dad and knew no stranger; she would talk to anyone and people loved her. Above all of that, Candace loved to be a Mom to her two amazing girls.

She enjoyed watching television, talking on the phone, Facebook, and texting. She loved keeping in touch with others and helping those in need. She never missed any of her daughters’ events. She was a loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Candace is survived by her middle school sweetheart and the love of her life Tyler Goode, her two beautiful daughters Tiera Lynn and Lilly Jo, mother Debbie Phipps, brother Richie (Erica) Bennett, sisters in law Amber (Tony) Crowder, April (Joe) Roush, Brandi McPhillips and Arielle Goode, brother in law Jonah Goode, father in law Garry Goode (Tycene), mother in law Lisa Kenworthy, best friend Barb Holt, bonus daughter Bri, nieces and nephews Nevaeh, Tatum, Drake, Noah, Turner, Makenzie, Dominick, Joey, Maverick, Jack, Maddy, Kendall and Brooklynne, and a host of other loving family members.

Candace was preceded in death by her dad Kenny Bennett, brother Rodney Bennett, aunt Vicki Hollingshead, grandparents Dick and Janet Phipps and Helen and Ward Bennett.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, also at Hamilton’s, and will be followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery in Winterset, Iowa.
