Service Details
Mary Oliver 77, died October 18, 2009 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; sisters, Harriet Thompson, Ruth Sutton, Nancy Filling, Lynn Clark and a brother, Ben Bennett. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol and brother, Guy, Charles and Johnny.

I am at great loss of words. Mary was not only a very kind hearted Aunt, she was like a substitute mother to me for very many years, when my mother was unable to be there because of mental illness. It didn't matter what the problem was or what time of day it was, or even if she was busy, I could always count on Aunt Mary to listen and lend me her wisdom of advice. I regret the fact the life has gotten so hectic and I didn't get to spend time with her or talk to her as often as I should have in the last couple of years. It is no doubt that she is in Heaven with the good Lord's Angels.I am sure she is there rejoicing in heaven with Dennis, Mom, Dad and my brothers, as well as her siblings, parents, and grandparents. Uncle Art should you need anything please do not hesitate to Call upon me and I will come running. You to have been such an inspiration of wisdom and support over the years. Please do not hesitate to lean on me if you need something. May God Bless you at this time during your great loss.
