Mark A. Bierman

Mark Alexander Bierman, 35, passed away on December 12, 2021.

Mark was born December 17, 1985, in Rock Island, Illinois to Mark Bierman and Peggy Mader.

Mark grew up and graduated high school in the Quad Cities. He moved to Des Moines in 2006 and graduated from the American College of Hairstyling in 2011. He owned several barbershops in town and was known as “Markie the Barber.” He most recently worked at Diamond Kutz in Highland Park and earned numerous awards for hair. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his father, Mark Bierman; mother, Peggy Mader; wife, Lindsay Cook; children, Zahara Senna, Ariana Lowery, Madison Bierman, Madden Bierman, Lilliana Bierman, and Mark Bierman III; step-brothers, James Goodknight and Jordan Goodknight; and a host of numerous other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Debra Goodknight.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, where the family will greet visitors 1 hour prior to service time. Inurnment at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport, Iowa on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.
