Jerry Z. McKee

Jerry Z. McKee, 74, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Mitchellville Care Center. He was born on December 5, 1934 to Warren and Wilma McKee. Jerry graduated from Indianola High School. He returned thirty-eight years as an experimental mechanic at John Deere. He was an avid Hawkeye fan. He also enjoyed playing folf, flower gardens and listening to country music. His favorite time was time spent with family and his many friends. He enjoyed spending winters in Mesa, Arizona for the last twelve years.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Beth of Altoona, sons, Craig (Laurie) McKee, Kevin (Becky) McKee, Kent (Dawn) McKee, and Stepson, Bret (Rebecca) Dublinske, his brother, Jack (Earlene) McKee, and his sister Jean (Marvin) Nyswonger, eight grandchildren, and two great grandson’s.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Altoona, 602 5th Avenue SW. A visitation will be held the evening before on Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW. Burial will follow funeral services at the Altoona Cemetery.
