Margaret Anderson, age 91, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021.

Margaret was born January 13, 1930 in Des Moines to John and Nettie (Murphy) Mulstay. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy. Margaret was married to Jim Taylor with whom she had her children. She then married Carl Anderson. She was preceded in death by Carl and her Mulstay siblings.

Margaret was an avid sports fan. She loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Notre Dame. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Margaret enjoyed traveling. The Anderson family has owned a lemonade stand at the Iowa State Fair since 1948. Margaret was a great cook and will be remembered especially for her beef and noodles and her mac and cheese.

She is survived by:

Her daughter, Diane Perry of Des Moines and her family:
Mark Perry (Kellie Heimbaugh) and Mark’s son, DeAndre Perry (her beloved great-grandson)
Debbie Flowers (Frank) and their children, Mark Flowers and Ebony Flowers

Her daughter, Rosemary Allen (Dick) of Nevada, IA and her family:
Bryce Amos (Sherry) and their children, Hayden Amos and McKenzie Amos
Brad (Chris) Amos and their children, Caroline Amos, Brendan Amos, and Madeline Habron (Daniel)

Her son, Jim Taylor (Suzie Ellerbrock) of Findlay, OH and his family:
Tina (Blair) Lane and their children, Keegan, Jackson, and Griffin

Her daughter, Debbie Rexroat (Jim) of Hawaii and her family:
Brian Rexroat (Katie) and Brian’s son, Kailer Rexroat
Katie Conway (Bill)

Her son, John Taylor (Stephanie Perry) of Keller, TX and his family:
Rylan Taylor and Colton Taylor

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved angel and caretaker, Misty Davenport.

She will be interred at Iowa Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on May 20, 2022.
