Betty Burress

Betty Marie Burress, 83, passed away Sunday, February 4 at Wesley Acres. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service.
Betty was born February 1, 1924 in Wilson County, Kansas to Opal and Hobart Wever. Betty attended Beautician’s school. During her lifetime Betty worked for Boeing aircraft company during World War II, she operated her own beauty shop, she worked at Bauder’s and cared for her family as a homemaker. Betty was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She loved being with her family and especially enjoyed taking part in family activities with her grandchildren. She liked to do quilting and sewing.
Betty is survived by her children, Gary (Alice) Burress, Linda (Lou) Gorz and Pam (Greg) Burress-Garrison; her grandchildren, Luke (Jill), Noah, Jenni, Hannah, Andy, Katie, Amy Rebekah, Micah, Emily and Sarah; her sister, Virginia Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents and her grandson, Matthew.
