Steve and I have shared so many things like measles and chicken pox an older sister and a grandmother that lived with us . We all shared Bible School and Sunday School many pets in our younger years, fights and squabbles as siblings do and lots of games played outside in our yard. Picked grapes and apples from our assorted fruit trees and planted garden with our dad and mom.
Sunday dinners, fourth of July and Christmas celebrations at our parents home. There has been
laughter and crying as well as stories of kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Along with Caring for parents, family and friends. We will miss our times together both near and far. We will miss our weekly phone calls to catch up with one another.
Steve had been involved with baseball from the time our dad coached before Steve started school. Sorry boys, that was where the love of sports began. He was in cub/boy scouts where our mother was a den mother. He became involved in many sports as he grew older. He played the trombone and took a foreign language and as siblings we were glad when he went onto other adventures. He was an avid reader learning many fun facts. We were so happy when Deb came into Steves life and they married adding 3 boys to our family and
later adding spouses and grandchildren. He loved his family and was very proud husband, dad, and grandpa. Rest in peace my brother. You will always be in my thoughts. Love ya

I remember Uncle Steve teasing us as young children that he would flush us down the toilet. We would laugh, scream, and pounce on him for more. He called me by a teasing nickname every time I saw him through the last time. He supported his own children and grandchildren through all their activities, sports, and birthdays and cheered on my son and teammates as if they were his own. By doing that, he also supported me. Uncle Steve will be missed! Love, Dana Do Razzleberry

Steve Coffin will be missed for sure. Steve was always welcoming, with his happy grin whenever we would visit. Early on Steve took me hunting for the first time, creating lasting memories of those hunts for squirrels, pheasants and deer.
Steve was so helpful to our family over the years and we owe him a big Thank you, Steve. He would run over to help or drive someone where they needed to go, usually on short notice.
As a volunteer fireman, Steves support of the community was appreciated by many. His attendance and coaching supported his sons and grandchildrens activities, showing his eagerness to be there for his family, win or lose.
Steve often would have a good story to catch you up on and usually a funny one.
We already miss him, but well always remember him.

Steve and I worked together at CDS. We were similar in age and we shared common interests of family and sports. I used to love to join Steve & Deb at Dylans sporting events. Steve was as genuine and down to earth is anyone. Steve always thought of other people first and I will miss our conversations.

I met Steve back in 1997 when I went to work for CDS. He was one of the first people to welcome me and we have been great friends since. We would often go to lunch together and even after I left CDS we still got together for different things like a poker game at my house or other things like when the Coffins, Mowery's and the Schneider's would take turns hosting a survivor dinner then watching the show together.
One year back in may of 2006 we got a card in the mail wanting us to go on a gambling junket to Wendover Nevada. It was only $119 each for 3 days and two nights. So I called Steve, the Mowery's and the Trask's to see if they wanted to join us. Of course they all said yes. When the flight got underway and about half way there they came around and gave everyone $50 each back making the trip only cost $69. We all had a great time going out to eat and once rented 4 wheelers and rode the hills. At one stop at the top we were able to see the great salt flats. We returned a little dirty but very happy with what we had done. That is what making memories is all about.
Steve we will miss you greatly.

So so sorry for your loss Deb and boys. Steve was such a kind person and will be greatly missed. He was always willing to serve others and a kind and caring man. So thankful he served on Saylor Fire Dept. and was willing to transport people in their time of need at his job. Thankful he is no longer suffering pain but sorry your weren't able to spend more time together after his successful kidney transplant. Praying God blesses your family with wonderful memories.

As friends for over 35 years, we will remember Steve as a gentle soul with a great sense of humor who had a quiet laugh. His life was truly his family. He was always giving of his time to others, from fire rescue to his mobility transport. Steve enjoyed being there for not only his family but complete strangers. Will cherish memories of weekend getaways to celebrate winter birthdays.

Sending our love to the whole family for such a great loss! Steve meant so much to us! We have so many memories of our dinners together with Deb, Steve, Carla and Ron. Every time we got together ended in lots of laughs. We all shared our love of family, raising kids first and then enjoying stories of grandkids! Steve was such a caring soul always there for you if you needed him. He will be missed by so many.
