Patricia Adey

Patricia Adey, 90, passed away on December 7, 2021, in Altoona. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 16, 1931, to Claire and Lela Cross.

Patricia was united in marriage to Bobbie and they shared 48 wonderful years until his passing. They were longtime residents of Altoona.

Patricia retired from Deluxe Check Printers in 1986. She enjoyed volunteering both at the hospital and for hospice. Patricia loved to play cards, dominos, travel, and experience something new. She was a long time member of Ivy United Methodist Church, UMU, Red Hat Society, Christian Women’s Group, and SOLOS group.

Patricia is survived by her children, Billie Bell and Kelly (Holly) Adey; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Randi Adey; sister, Clela Borysiewicz; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Melody (Mel) Cross; and sons, Bobbie, Jr., and Jerri; and 7 siblings.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Centennial United Methodist Church at Ivy. The family requests masks be worn and social distancing will be encouraged. The service will be live streamed for those unable to join in person.
