Mary Pack, 69, of Des Moines died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at home.
Mary is survived by her son, Joel Pack; brothers, Gerry (Jan) Irwin of Murfreesboro, TN and Jim Irwin of Kent, WA; sister, Marti (Virgil) Webb of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pack; her parents; a sister; and a brother.
Mary enjoyed her family, her church family, friends, gardening, walking, sewing and her pets. She will be dearly missed by all.
Her body has been cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Joel - your mother was a very kind and lovable soul. My favorite memory of her was when Jenifer was born....she came to Omaha to be with me, we had ALOT of fun and she was a huge help. As I think back to that time, I realize how young we all were. You are a tremendous son and I know that she was always very proud of you (and we all are). Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and let us know if there is anything at all that we can help with.

Joey, thank heavens your mom was such a good memory maker. We have so many good memories to rely on to get us through this. Her laugh was infectious and her heart gold. We will always be only a phone call away....take advantage of that! We love you. Marti and family
