Norma Jean Boylan

Norma Jean Boylan passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021, at the age of 93. She was born in Winterset, Iowa, on December 21, 1927, to Arley and Ethel Bonner.
Norma worked at Iowa Lutheran Hospital as a single telephone operator on the night shift for more than 30 years, retiring in 2000. She was a past member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Norma is survived by her son, Keith Boylan; granddaughter, Danielle; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Gabriel, Katrina, Christopher, Hunter, and Sebastian; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Boylan; brother, William Bonner, and her sister, Ruth Garland.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Keith, I sure wish you had let me know Norma had passed. I wasn't aware Steve had died too. I'm very sorry to hear about them both. I had no idea until I was decorating Grandma and Grampa Bonner's grave today that Norma had died. The picture of her is so nice to see. She looked happy and well. She sure outlived all 3 of her siblings. There was Joe, he was oldest, then my mother Ruth, then Bill and then Norma. I hope somehow you see this condolence. Your cousin, Marcia.
