Ericka Lynn "Auntie" Mays

Ericka Lynn Mays, age 50, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ericka was born June 1, 1971, in Des Moines, Iowa to LeRoy Mays and Muriel Williams. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from North High School.

Ericka loved taking care of her nieces and nephews and treated them as if they were her own. She loved to cook and bake for those she loved. She also enjoyed listening to music, sewing, and reading.

She is survived by her siblings, Brandy Williams and Jayson Mays; nieces, Brooklyn Williams and Lynn Blake; nephews, Fayzan Titi and Millíon Williams; uncles, Michael and Steven; aunties, Sharon, Diane, and Carol; and multiple other loving family members and friends.

Ericka was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy Mays and Muriel Williams; maternal grandparents, Paris and Isabelle Williams; maternal great-grandparents, Nanny and Cecil Logan; auntie, Gayle; and uncle, Bobby.

A funeral service was held in Arizona. Ericka will be laid to rest in Glendale Cemetery on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
