Linda K. Coxe Hatch
November 21, 2021
Linda K. Coxe Hatch passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. Linda was born in Des Moines, Iowa on April 15, 1941. She grew up on the east side of Des Moines and graduated from East High School. Upon graduation, she continued her education at Drake University before beginning her career in banking. She was married to Leonel A. “Jack” Coxe Jr. and raised four children: Kent, Kirk (deceased), Karmen and Kyle. She subsequently moved to Denver, Colorado where she remarried in 1986 to Lenus Hatch. She returned to Iowa where she retired from the Iowa Utilities Board. Linda always loved the mountains but her greatest love was her family. She lost one son (Kirk) much too early in life, but cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and especially family gatherings. Linda had a love of music as well as creating arts and crafts during her life.
She is survived by her three children, Kent Coxe (Kim) residing in Kansas City, Missouri, Karmen Coxe residing in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Kyle Coxe residing in Eagle, Idaho. Her brother James Shaffer (Carolyn, deceased), sister Lennie Rae Houge (Steve) and many nieces and nephews, her three grandchildren, Matthew Coxe, Jonathan Coxe and Mason Coxe, who she cherished and were the loves of her life.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I worked with her at the Iowa Utilities Board. She was such a joy to work with. I lost touch with her after her retirement. She was a wonderful person and also spoke so highly of her children, she was very proud of each of them and their accomplishments. I remember her love for music, especially Neil Diamond. My prayers to her family and loved ones for peace and comfort during this difficult time.
