Sherrie Davis

Sherrie Davis, 73, passed away on November 24, 2021. She was born in Elkhorn, Iowa, on August 2, 1948, to Kenneth and Wanda (Lange) Andersen.

Sherrie attended school in Elkhorn and graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1966. On April 23, 1969, she was united in marriage to Jim Davis in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A few years later, they moved to Altoona where they raised their two children.

Sherrie enjoyed gardening, quilting, and wool working. Above all else, spending time with her family was most important.

Sherrie was a member of Eastern Polk Quilters Guild, Creekside Wool Group, Woodland Hills Garden Club, and Russ O’Hara Hosta Society.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Jim; son, John (Deb) Davis; daughter, Beth Davis; grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Katie, and Jayden; her siblings, Donna Hostetler, Keith Andersen, and Joyce Heuton; as well as other loving family and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A casual gathering will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
