Raymond Leo Davis

Raymond Leo Davis, 97, went to glory Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines. Raymond was born February 26, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Raymond was a veteran that served his country proudly and with honor in the United States Coast Guard. He married Marilyn Hockmuth on July 4, 1946. To this union was born a son and daughter, Dennis and Denise. Raymond loved his family and grandchildren. He attended Heritage Assembly of God for many years. His family has great comfort knowing he is with our Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his children, Dennis Davis and Denise (Lowell) Nelson; grandchildren, David, Tricia, and Mark; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Cordelia, Melania, Macy, Rhett and Levi; and step brother-in-law, William Gorrell.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Marilyn; and father and mother, Leo and Myrtle; and step-mother, Lillian.
