John Harris

John Harris, 51 years old, was born in Chicago, IL to Michael & Della (Florio) Harris.
He was a loving husband, father, papa, son, brother, nephew, friend, and coach.
John was a lot of different things to many different people. He inspired everyone who he came into contact with. John worked at MH Equipment for nearly 20 years as a corporate trainer. Teaching others was a passion that was rooted deep inside of John.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Jolynn Harris, John Harris Jr., Mackenzie Harris, Jerry Davis, Anastasia Harper and Brenda Harper; mother, Della Buss; brother, Mike Harris III; grandchildren, Levi, Emmett, and Charlie Harper.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Harris Jr.; step-father, Paul Buss; and grandparents.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, December 6th, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, also at the funeral home.
John will forever be remembered for his love for his family and his love for trampoline and tumbling.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I work for the Hyster-Yale Training department. John and I talked several times a week for over 15 years; mostly about technician training, but often about our lives outside of work. I considered him my friend and I miss him greatly!

You are a big part of our memories. We send your entire family our love. The girls were heartbroken. We send strength and compassion as you sort out the next few years. John was an amazing coach, thoughtful, supportive and so patient, We celebrate a life of John sharing his talent and time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I work at MH Equipment in St Louis where he visited all the time for training -enjoyed ordering lunches for his group. He will be missed.
