Ada, seeing Emory's picture in the Register yesterday brought back many warm thoughts. I first became acquainted with him when he was making engravings in a little place on 10th street, next to the Iowa Auto Dealers Association, where my late first husband, Bob Bonomi, had an office. We often enjoyed a moment's chat with him. Such a fine man! And then you started Pameco, with the two children my boys knew at Hoover. You were such good role models! Possibly you will recall that when I worked for the Iowa Children's Society, and we were concerned with adoptive placement of black or mixed-race children, I sought out the two of you for advice, understanding and possibilities. I truly appreciated your giving me the time.
I have remarried and live in Ames, and have commitments for Thursday that I cannot rearrange. My thoughts will be with you. Loving thoughts. I consider it a privilege to have known you and Emory.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was a PAMECO customer for many years and always thought so highly of your family. Ada, I still have your custard pie recipe. You always treated your customers so well and it was such a pleasure to do business with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you...

Aunt Ada and family, We have been fortunate that this day has not yet come for us, the loss of a parent/husband. Our hearts are with you now in sadness as well as in joy that uncle Emery is free. No more suffering or waiting. God loaned us Uncle Emery and we thank him for that. Thats why I'm sure,God will comfort and protect him now. He's not gone, he's just waiting for the rest of us to catch up with him. May the good lord soften your sorrow and keep it brief. In the meantime, we are here if you need us.
