Brenda Lee Reynolds, age 68, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021.

Brenda was born September 19, 1953 in Kentucky to Melvin and Pearl Hess. She graduated from Fairborn High School in Ohio. She married Ron Reynolds on September 15, 1973 in Ohio. She moved to Des Moines where Ron was from to start their family. Brenda loved to cook and used food as her love language. She was a voracious reader and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Brenda worked for the Iowa Cubs for over 20 years, just for fun. She had many hobbies including crafting, crochet, and cross stitch. She loved going to the theater, especially the Civic Center. Some of her favorite shows included Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, and Wicked.

She is survived by her mother, Pearl; her husband, Ron; her daughter, Heather Watson (Josh); her son, Shaun Reynolds (Brooke); her grandchildren, Micah and Roman; her sisters, Pam Barber, Angie Judy (Matt), Jodi Meyer (Tom), and Jenny Mendoza (Rick); her brother, Phil Drescher (Cheryl); and many nieces, nephews, other loving family, and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Hess.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Blank Children’s Hospital.
