Anna L. (Gillotti) Chiodo, age 97, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Iowa Jewish Life Center.
She was born in Des Moines to Ralph and Angelina Gillotti. Anna was a graduate of Drake University with a business of administration degree and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of Vittoria Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary and the Society of Italian-Americans.
Anna was a bookkeeper for her father’s company, Gillotti Construction and her husband Alfred’s company, City Construction, Inc.
Anna and Alfred had been married for 66 years before Alfred passed away in November of 2012.
She is survived by her children, Fred, Angela (Gary) Wilson and Kathy Kennedy; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, parents, three brothers and grandson, Garrett Wilson.
Funeral Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Masks are encouraged, but not required. Private family entombment will be held at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Jewish Life Center, 900 Polk Blvd. or Christ the King Catholic Church.

Such a beautiful soul, loving, kind & caring! Great mom, grandma & great grandma! Thankful to God, she got to know Luna & Stella, oh how they loved her! Life so well lived! Filled with gratitude for her life! No more pain or suffering, safe in the Lord's arms, brand new! Greatly Loved!
