Jack M. Strable, was born April 26, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa. He died surrounded by his family on November 7, 2021.

He operated Jack’s University Auto Service for over 30 years. He loved racing, singing, Christmas, the Iowa State Fair, and spending time with family and his many, many friends. He loved his daily visits with his closest friends, Big Bill Way, Barry Naples, and Bennie Patrick.

Jack is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue Strable; three sons, Jack Jr. (Melissa), Joe (Gina), and Steve; seven grandchildren, Jessi (John), Dani, Zach, J.J., Lexi, Mattingly, and Cooper; three great-granddaughters, Piper, Parker, and Elsie; brother, Squeak Strable; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jan Campbell, Jerry, Jim, and John Strable; mother-in-law, DonnaWolver; and dog, Marshmellow.

The family will greet friends Friday, November 12, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
