Merrill, was a one of a kind ! I met Merrill through St. John & Paul. I believe one Sunday years ago we were sitting in the pew i front of Merrill, and it was at the sign of peace that we turned around and exchanged names. From that time on he remembered our names as if we were next door neighbors. He would ask always how were doing with a tone of genuine sincerity. He always had the presence of not a care in the world, and he always carried himself with such stature & dignity. Merrill had a meek & humble disposition, and to read in his obit that he was 97, flabbergasted us. Merrill had the appearance that everyday was worth giving life his best, and that is how we will remember him, living with the best of intentions right to the very end. May your soul Rest In Peace Merrill, till we meet again

We met Merrill just one time, but after observing his interactions with his Great Granddaughter, Cece, we could tell that he was more than a Great Grandfather, he was a Great Man. Rest in peace, Merrill.
