Marion LaVern Brown, 72, passed away at his home on Friday, November 5, 2021. He was born March 2, 1949 to Marion and Wilma (Wright) Brown in Des Moines.

Marion proudly served in the US Marine Corp from 1969 to 1974 during the Vietnam War. When returned, he began his life-long career as an auto mechanic, working at Sears, Tires Plus, and Goodyear. Even in his free time, Marion would tinker around on cars. He especially loved the time he spent with his son rebuilding an old hot rod. Marion was an avid WWE and John Wayne fan.

Marion is survived by his daughters, Niki Spray and Tabetha (Kevin) Glass; grandchildren, Colby (Summer) Glass, Savanna Spray, and Corey (Kassi) Glass; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Brown; and sister, Nancy Dzinic.

A private interment will be held at Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Adel.
