Lois Brady

Lois Brady, of Clive, Iowa passed away suddenly in her home at age 92 on November 2, 2021. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Brady; her parents, Ida and Rockley Barber; and her sister, Jane Christiansen.

Lois was born in Manilla, IA and graduated from Mercy College of Nursing right after high school, bringing to fruition her childhood dream of becoming a nurse. She faithfully served her patients as a registered nurse for nearly 40 years. It was in college she met her husband to be Bob Brady, and they eventually settled in Rockford, Michigan where they enjoyed a life together filled with family, faith and friends for over 57 years.

After Bob's passing, Lois returned to the Des Moines, Iowa area and made her home at Woodlands Creek Senior Living, where she was loved and adored by friends and staff alike for the last 10 years. Her family would especially like to thank the entire staff of the Woodlands Creek community for all the love and support they gave.

Her children and her extended family remember her most for the loving support she always provided, how she always prioritized family, and her love and never-ending care for others. She will be missed dearly.

Lois is survived by son, Jeffrey Brady (Peggy) of Adel, IA; daughter, Sara (Mike) Yarger of Noblesville, IN; granddaughters, Emily Yarger of Carmel, IN, Melissa Yarger of Noblesville, IN, Rachael (Hugh) Hart of Iowa City, IA, Sarah Brady and Lauren Brady, both of Adel, Iowa.
