Joe Stegman, 51, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at his home in Des Moines. Joe was born on September 11, 1958 to Lena Bianchi and Wilbur Stegman in Des Moines. He worked at Mid-American Energy since 1985.
Joe is survived by his children, Zachary and Anna Stegman; and sisters, Stephanie (Gary) Miller; Sheila Webb and Sue Nelson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or the charity of your choice in loving memory of Joe.

I am so sorry for your loss. I graduated with Joe and in 7th grade he was my 1st boyfriend. We sat next to each other at a funeral a few years ago and after the service stayed behind to reminisce and catch-up on each others lives. I'm thankful I had the opportunity to share a small part of his life.
Please accept my condolences. I know he will be greatly missed.

I went through Powell with Joe and he quickly became a close friend. This is a painful time, and I wish you all healing and godspeed.
