Jim and I met when we were 13 when I moved into the neighborhood. We attended Franklin Jr High and Roosevelt High together. During our senior year we worked for Jim's dad at Pidgeon's Furniture warehouse. In our younger days we rode our Honda dirt bikes in what is now Saylorville Lake before it was filled. We hunted together, worker on his house, and just hung out. After 53 years of Jim's friendship it is difficult to believe he is gone. My deepest condolence's to everyone Jim leaves behind. We will all miss you buddy, happy trails.

I wanted to express my sympathy to Gasser's family. We worked opposite shifts, but ran the same line for a few years before he retired, so I got to know him well and loved his many stories, his sense of humor and have missed him since he retired from Pepsi. He loved talking about his family, especially his grandson and showing his collections. May he rest in peace. He will be missed.
