Joyce A Wright, 70 of Bondurant passed away peacefully in Hawaii, while on a dream vacation. Joyce was born April 17th 1951 to Donna Ruth Brown. Her parents were Keith & Ruth Brown. Joyce attended Fox Valley schools, graduating in 1969. Shortly thereafter she moved to Des Moines where she kept a close circle of friends. In June 1980, she married Dave E Wright. Together they had 3 kids & built a wonderful life in Bondurant. Joyce wore numerous hats in her life, the one she loved the most was being a mother & grandmother. Joyce enjoyed traveling. Joyce loved being an active member of Des Moines Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Mt. Olivet White Shrine, located at Home Lodge 370 in Pleasant Hill. For several years she was active in different branches of the lodge. Joyce was an amazing friend & always worked to let her loved ones know how much they meant to her. Her kids & grandkids could always count on her for support & advice. Joyce was very active in her community, always volunteering at different fund raisers. Joyce had an affinity for a few select TV shows including NCIS & Seal Team. She enjoyed sharing these shows with her kids. Joyce’s favorite hymns includes “In The Garden”.

Joyce is survived by her 3 children, Joseph Wright, Amanda Necessary, Angie Wright (Jessie Smith); sister, Barbara; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & in laws.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Dave. Her Mother Donna Brown, her parents Keith & Ruth Brown. A memorial service for Joyce is being held on Saturday November 6th 2021, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 11am, luncheon to follow.
