Fern Scharlaw-Thacker

Fern V. Thacker, 90, passed away on October 25, 2021 at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville, Iowa. She was born in Lovilia, Iowa on January 3, 1931, daughter of Ivan and Marie (Lane) Hyde.

Fern is survived by her daughters, Sherrie Osborn and Paula (Danny) Rynearson; brother, Donald (Beth) Hyde; sister, Elnora Dykes and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Scharlaw; both parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa
