Donald Luther Skelton
Of Des Moines, Iowa
Donald Skelton, age 88, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was born April 29, 1933, in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of William and Minta (Jacobs) Skelton.
Donald a Korean War Veteran proudly served his country in the US Army. He married Phung Thi Tran on August 19, 2017, in Des Moines, Iowa. Donald worked many jobs but one of his favorite was working for McDonalds for 17 years because he loved to interact with people. He enjoyed studying the Bible, sharing stories and helping others. Donald will be remembered as a dedicated, generous, loving and kind man who cherished family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Phung Thi Tran.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 8th at 1200 to 1300 at Amazing Grace Ministry and Outreach Church, 1903 53rd St., Des Moines, IA. The burial service at 1400 (2:00 pm) at Iowa Veterans Cemetery on November 8th as well.
