I am so very sorry for your loss. Jim helped my wife and me with our house. I have never met a man with more integrity than Jim. His honesty and character were so impressive. Dealing with him was always a pleasure. I always enjoyed talking with Jim about his fishing, his family, and of course, politics. I will miss him very much. God bless you. Keith and Liz Miller

Donna - I just read of Jim's passing. I remember many years ago when Jim had built you a magnificent doll house for Christmas. It was a tribute to his homebuilding and to you as well.
I have been back in the Des Moines area for ten years and lost my husband, Larry, to pulmonary fibrosis in April. My heart goes out to you and my thoughts are with you.

I've worked for Norwalk Ready Mix for 36 yrs. Started out driving a ready mix truck and dispatcher for the last 12 yrs. I always enjoyed hauling concrete to Jim and talking to Jim on the phone when ever he placed an order. Always professional and treaded me with respect. Jim stopped by the Norwalk plant last winter and told me of his illness. Said he lead a good life, has a great family and has no regrets. The world was a better place with Jim in it. I will miss him as well as you do. Sorry for your loss. Marty

Donna,Mark and Julie I was really saddened when I heard about Jim. I first met Jim when he was making ex-rays and we had conversations almost every month when he came for his haircuts. Jim done some things for us when he first got started in the constrution business,it was fun to talk to him about some of his projects,he was very proud of them as well as he should have been. I retired over 5yrs ago and lost contact with most of my clients, Jim was one of the ones I treasured the most. Also Joan (Mrs C) will miss the fillets that Jim brought her every year. Our thougts will be with you next week, we will be out of town and will not be able to attend the visitation or the services. Lynn and Joan Clary

I worked for Jim for about two years in the mid 90's. He helped me out when I needed it. I just wanted to say 'Thank you' one more time.

We are so sorry to hear about Jim. My first contact with Jim was when I brought my gifted students to one of his energy efficient homes in the early 80s. Jim took so much time to answer their questions and spark their interest. I thought "What a nice man!" It was so much fun to travel with you. He will be missed by so many.
